I would read 1) as 'keep cool, it's just a game' and 2) as don't be a pain in the ass. People came around to have fun and play, not to get more shit than IRL. To deal with rule #1 well it's easy... if you feel uncomfortable about something, just go in another room and play with other persons. Don't let small things annoy you. Before to get annoyed by something, just take 5 seconds and ask yourself 'do I really care?' To deal with rule #2 there are @bounce, @gag and @jail. If people are being annoying during RP and that's not part of the character (i.e. it's OOC stuff) warn them and if they don't stop, @bounce them. If the offender is paging you, @gag her/him. In case of of people who are repeatedly annoying or are harassing people, they may end @jailed (or worst) after proper warning. The punishement may be permanent. Since it is not a master situation and more of a trust bond.. The bond between human and animal is not like a dragonrider bond.. Intelligence is not shared but more of a instinct situation.. The human will receive the animal sense that will allow to feel danger and such. Feeling that animal and human are experiencing will be also a part without a true communication.. "Death effects" happen before you are placed in the afterlife. These are basically scorekeeping effects which modify total power, total kills (including PK's), and total deaths. The time of death is marked, the character is set conscious, and his action queue is cleared. "Birth effects" happen after you emerge from your afterlife. For all characters, this includes resetting all damage monitors (injury, insanity, fatigue, mobility). Stats of anonymous beasties (such as cainid) are reset to prevent them from becoming super-critters. Player/PC insanity is set to their injury at time of death -- a reflection of the stress caused by being "born again". Within the next few days, certain players will be subject to some new birth effects. If you've a major attribute (willpower, strength, etc.) with a score greater than 100, it will be set to 100. 100 is the mortal limit. Anything higher means you're not human. Rebirth will force you into a mortal mold. If any of your skills are rated at least double the average rank, they will be decreased anywhere from 1% to 50% of the difference between their current rank and the average. For example, if the average skill is 100 and yours is 200 at the time of your death, it will come out as anything between 150-199 when you're reborn.
