It was particularly windy when he came across where apparently someone had been digging or the winds had just been persistent enough that they finally revealed the secrets that lay beneath the shifting dust of the wastes. A large concrete slab with a battered keypad upon it lay revealed. Struggle as he might with his bionic limbs, he couldn't get the slab to move. Trying his luck he typed in a few random sequences on the keypad but nothing happened. Dexter sat and thought for a while until he remembered his laptop from the strange replicator underneath the slisssh pit. Writing up a quick script and hooking it into the keypad, he started brute forcing the keypad code. For what seemed to be hours, the computer dickered and beeped whlie Dexter sheltered himself from the relentless rays of the sun that now beat upon his leathery skin. Dozing off, he began to dream a little dream of swimming through the shallows along Woods Hole, seagulls circling high overhead squawking loudly. Louder and louder until he jolted awake. "Access code accepted." came from the keypad over and over again while his computer's script repeatedly entered the correct code. Dexter laughed out loud as the seal opened, its ancient hydraulics squealing, centuries of cool dust being thrown into the air around him. He closed his eyes and leapt into the darkness below... -------------------------- Message 55 from *storylines (#5236): Date: Thu Aug 30 23:42:05 2001 EDT From: Fortitude (#24841) To: *storylines (#5236) Subject: A flyer seen circulating around Jizo island Wanted: An adventurer to help clear out a wine cellar.
