Idle chatter about an ethereal ship and strange sightings in the wee hours of the night causing no end of tongues to wag. As the days pass, the talk becomes more and more common and even more outlandish. Stories ranging from the ship is a decreipt sloop to a fully functional twentieth century battleship. The ghosts themselves are said to be harmless or raging ban sidhes. -------------------------- Message 3 from *storylines (#5236): Date: Sun May 14 08:20:40 2000 EDT From: Noriko (#24467) To: *Beastmasters (#17944) and *storylines (#5236) Subject: Deunited in Death In N'orleans Graveyard, Noriko Yamtsuo trained once more with his New Mentor, Jayd Rinadake. But apparently he chose to battle the wrong group of worms... Daishineko, the panther whom Noriko is bonded to roared, hissed and scratched in these unfamiliar confines that he has been put in for months now, causing both him and his human in total agony, depression and misery... Both man and beast, though seperated had anger from being seperated. Both man and beast decided to take it out on the wrong enemy. All at the same time. Once again, their minds clash together with they same thought and the same feel of death! Noriko's mind felt some of his will to live...and the addiction of smoking he lost two months again...he now wished he had a cigarette. But they felt each other's death at the same time. And they both entered the midrealm, gazing upon each other through eyes that wettened and drew tears. The panther leaped into the air, roaring with happiness as he stood on his hind legs to embrace the human he bonded with with his front paws, and the man embraced the beast back. For a long time, they stood in that position. Until at last the great cat fell asleep and Noriko carried him through the portal into the world of the living. Once more reunited with his only true friend, the only thing that was always there for him. Daishineko, the panther. Noriko, the man. At long last, reunited in death, and then their lives -------------------------- Message 4 from *storylines (#5236): Date: Sun May 14 18:29:10 2000 EDT From: Clayson (#17237) To: *storylines (#5236) Subject: To begin again... The ocean is all she needs...the intruder must go, "Dexter" she whispers in the wind.... -------------------------- Message 5 from *storylines (#5236): Date: Fri May 19 00:35:33 2000 EDT From: Fortitude (#24841) To: *storylines (#5236) Subject: The haunting The tales of spirits appearing on the shores of Wood's Hole have ceased. An eyewitness reported seeing a large wooden sailing vessel docked at Cousteau Island for several hours. It fired a cannon shot and three strangers disembarked before the ship disappeared under the waves. New reports are now being made of an abandoned vessel that fits the description of the one above. Submariners and amateur divers report seeing it actually sailing _under_ the surface of the water. -------------------------- Message 6 from *storylines (#5236): Date: Mon Jun 5 18:05:40 2000 EDT From: Fortitude (#24841) To: *storylines (#5236) Subject: tremors People living around the R/T building have reported feeling small earthquakes during the past few weeks. There is no word on whether they are natural or not, but they have been mild enough that not even a tent has been knocked down. Local residents urge caution to travellers wandering the wasteland since tremors have been known to open up large cracks in the ground, large enough to swallow a person. --------------------------
