Perhaps either by multiple kirlian lock access, or having the owner @allow them to open it. -------------------------- Message 1643 from *ideas (#504): Date: Thu Nov 18 17:13:33 1999 CST From: Elendil (#2237) To: *ideas (#504) Might want to update 'help go'. I had quite a few safe objects back in the day that had key objects and/or were just locked to people. Unfortunately, @lock was disabled due to the large number of people who abused it. A group container object would kick ass, however. Perhaps someone should put a generic safe in a replicator somewhere? Something that causes alot of fatigue if carried for too long, too. That way people won't be carrying around big lockable container objects like they used to. -------------------------- Message 1645 from *ideas (#504): Date: Tue Nov 23 19:00:39 1999 CST From: PhatYak (#20718) To: *ideas (#504) Subject: Replace for @chown-cheat Ok, we used to use @examine to check if weapons were authentic, then that got taken away and we started using @chown to check it. But now that's gone too. So... here's what I propose. Why not make a coded skill for certain people to have that allows them to 'appraise object' or something All it would have to do is check if the object was owned by a builder or programmer. Not actually name the person just give feedback on whether it's real or fake. If this skill would only be given to some people then it could also be turned into a bit of a business for them to appraise things. It would make more sense for mages to have a spell to do this while regular players would have the skill for it. Maybe That could be a way to promote people into being crystal hunters? I'm not sure if it's a good call but i think that can overcome the problem of people wanting to know if somethings real by adding a bit of RP to it too. Besides it's not like a skill like that would be hard to code by any means. Lemme here back eh?
