But know what would be really really neat? Coded invisibility ;) I know it can be done. Would require hacking on Quinn's part, but it'd make a damn neat magister or adept spell. Ideally perhaps it could make a check every few minutes (:pulse() ?) against the perception of everyone in the room, together, against the caster's WP and focus, with an increased penalty against the caster each :pulse().. Also could check for ICness each pulse, to make sure people aren't using it to spy OOCly. @sweep takes care of most privacy issues. Or you could even make it so if players in the room are OOC, they see the person enter the room, while IC people don't. I know it'd be a bitch to code, but.. Damn, it'd be cool ;) A stealth skill for non-mages might not be a shabby idea either........ Well, this will prolly be ignored, or refused. I have always loved watching a part of the story I was not involved in play out. I also love the notion that what Shy does could have an impact on what may happen. I kinda felt that way when Axelle stopped the rain in NO, that was a larger story going on behind Shynara and Tarla discovering their 'latent' power. But I also think that just running that one 'back story' is a full time job that would probably require the devotion on a single GM. Or maybe not a GM, just sort of a coordinator, but what large background story would/could take place on Ghost? I really can't come up with anything right off the top of my head, but that may be because I have no clue what the other GM's were doing/pressing towards with thier own storylines. But I agree, that I think would make it so that you really didn't have to have any other PC's on to play, just a GM that could watch what ya do out of the corner of her/his eye, and react accordingly. It would definitely make it less dull when there are few to interact with even if I had an IC reason to do so. ;-) -------------------------- Message 629 from *ideas (#504): Date: Sat Mar 7 14:49:08 1998 CST From: Skywalker (#6644) To: *ideas (#504) Subject: bioscanners Make it so that when you type ?bioscanner, you get the bioscanner manual that's sitting in the R/T infirmary. -------------------------- Message 630 from *ideas (#504): Date: Sat Mar 7 14:50:36 1998 CST From: Skywalker (#6644) To: *ideas (#504) Subject: last Oh, and for those of you that are intellectually challenged, let me clarify.
