This is the kind of new item I personall would like to see. Mid-line salvage-armor. Metal plates semi-fordged/ponded into shape and worn. Pieces of signs, cars, billboards, ovens....used for defense, re-decorated Ie, Medium-level armor. Not the major gap we have, between chain/fieldplate/poly/etc, and/or shields, and replicator chaps/boots/gauntlets. Crossbows. Spearguns. MUCh simpler to maintain and use than guns. Can stand more abuse. Sand on your crossbow won't get in the mechanism and mess it up as easily as it can in a gun. Also, ala MadMax, not all the survivor groups are warlike. But effectively, life around the wastes/ghostwheel is darwinist. You survive, or you die and don't have any kids who survive either. Evolution, baybee. Anyhow. Has anyone notice there's no religious movements? Nobody worships the Eagle, noticeably. No one rants "God is coming" because THAT already happened. @who erk. dando DOH Well, realy, we just need mid-line armors, piecemeal stuff. And crossbows were, after thier introduction, more popular in many armies, and with less skilled users, for with a crank, thier power far equalled almost any bow. And was less skill-reliant -------------------------- Message 409 from *ideas (#504): Date: Wed Dec 17 21:58:17 1997 CST From: Heretic (#6143) To: *ideas (#504) Subject: Pickable locks on ... Just make it so that if anyone goes to fast (macro) It backfires and kills them. Example: Blizzard (for use of a name (heh)) stacks 10 tblasts at innocent child of rathe. Instead of innocent child of rathe bieng blown away. Blizzard would be killed and stats dropped. Or Karcass stacks up 10 kills on another of rathes innocent children. Instead of the sword chopping rathes little innocent child to pieces. The sword just cant handle the speed and karcass cuts his own legs off and bleeds to death. Now I know this is somewhat unrealistic. I mean..Innocent child of Rathe..ya right. But it would solve the stacking of spells/kills. Without losing our beloved combat engine. Nuff said. Maybe a Magus could accomplish that, but I don't think so for any of the other circles. My 1.5 cents.
