They have alot of stuff, but not alot of stuff made from the bones of fae dragons or anything. The Survival Kit, Falchion, SCM Badge, Pumice Stone, and Black Katana are the only things worth mention to my untrained eye. I think this player should be celebrated for their superior hoarding skills because they have stuff that anyone could have, but have amassed it with pure genius. I say this with no sarcasm either (for once). Big ups hoarding player. Looks like you put alot of time into accumulating things that aren't actually worth much, but damned if you didn't prove that you can obtain. Gold coins? Priceless and useless. The ultimate in MOO economy by actually celebrating scarcity. In the old days objects had value simply because they were 'Wiz-Owned'. @examine no longer shows who owns something because it was deemed inappropriate and unICly. I suppose that's true, it isn't very IC to sell an article of clothing because it is owned by Razorhawk. That aside, a constant flux of creation could stimulate economy. Yes I mumble, but I would like to take this mumble to make a possible suggestion which should likely have been sent to *ideas... We should have a less limited purchasability. One which isn't merely centered on the combat/magic objects. People should be able to show you how much of a smooth operator their character is by the furnishings of their house. Coded and purchased pool tables, dart boards, juke boxes etc. Essentially garbage, yet coded items to show how much of a high-roller your character is. Lets be honest, everyone and their dog seems to have a citadel these days. Now lets see who can put their crystals where their mouth is. The fact that this character has saved gold coins should be a lesson to us all. If you're trying to impress the ladies, it's not the size of your hoard... it's how you use it (and that you keep it clean). Showing off gold coins from the pre-crystal days of Ghostwheel MOO is the equivalent of an antique collector saying 'Look that I can afford to waste money on.' Inter-player competition has declined since stats are now limited to Pot-spoofing. Could we not open another door of interaction by bolstering the textual economy? Big-ups Hoarding Player, you might be on to something. [Two possible ironies should be addressed after reading my post. 1) I am a big proponent of taking stuff away from haorders; and 2) I was a big critic of Leo who was the the closest thing to an economy stimulant the MOO has seen in recent years. It should be noted that the only hoarder who should be penalized are blatantly inactive ones (never logging on at all) or those with political hook-ups. And as far as Leo goes, he was too inorganic in refusing to sell to particular players and was focussing simply on combat items (a good start, but a dead end... literally).] That is all. Sorry you read that. -------------------------- Message 10322 from *Chat (#5391): Date: Wed May 24 19:51:57 2006 EDT From: Einar (#37205) To: *Chat (#5391) Subject: Ghostwheel Humor! Hear Ye!
