Get rid of the public channel, if this is rp, make it such. If you want to socialize there is ICQ, or you can play scrabble. Players who are OOC longer then 30 minutes, can em, less they are GM's or Wiz's, or at least wipe em off the @who list. Get rid of the idiots, the other night I was on here. Someone asked where everyone was. One of your GM's piped in on the public channel explaining that they were playing on a mush. What is with that? If you are a GM here you should try to create something here. I don't believe all this bullshit that you can't do anything cause Quinn said NO I would like to believe that Quinn would want to promote RP. Advertise, I know this works, I know cause we have new players everyday on LA. Now I'm not waving my flag here, I don't even play there cause it is not fun for me. But you got to get the word out. Don't hide the IC players. For Christ sakes, if a new player signs on and sees everyone ooc, what the hell. You have to make priorities here. I guess the question would be, do you want a rp moo, or do you want a chat room filled with fucking morons? Lets think back now, shall we? Before the new wave of GM's or what ever you call them. There were lots of players here. Oh, but then we all got caught up in real lives, everyone was looking for a friend, everyone was looking to be king....look what happened. We have a group of people who don't give a shit about this moo, but they will tell you they do, tell me, are you all that stupid, there is nothing going on here, nothing. (this does not mean all GM's are doing nothing, those of you who are, you know I don't mean you) Shall I go on, oh wait, I guess I'm saying this cause I'm on crack. Rathe would know, I think he is peaking in my bedroom window. MAKE A DESISION, you can't be either or on this. Damn, is this pussy wipe or what? Stand up Quinn, it is your moo, fuck, what do you want? If you don't stand up and say how it will be, it will never change. With this moo, or another. If you bring the same people over, the same shit is going to happen. How do I know this, I know because half of them came to Skeet's first moo, and did nothing, nothing at all. There ya go, there is my submission to an idea...go, go discuss between yourselves. Then get a clue, how can you build something Quinn and let it go to hell. When I began Ghostwheel, I didn't have a job and my entire creative life was spent on building up virtual worlds. Now I have day work to sap my energy, and when I get home most of my time is spent in (relatively) passive pursuits. I can only think of two staff members who actively contribute. The rest have done so in the past, but could probably go now--but what would that accomplish? Does it help to get rid of inactive members? It could be an issue of morale, seeing connected staff members doing nothing to promote the enjoyment of the MOO for others. Maybe I should go on a rampage and destroy everything that doesn't appeal to me, re-writing the theme and world as I go along. The world is more bizarre than it lets on. Trust me on this one. A few of the folks here know the general deal with the family property here, and some of you have seen the place. Well, to keep it simple for those who haven't been here: we have 4 suburban houselots in your pretty typical middle-middle class neighborhood, two with houses on 'em. My house, my folks' house, lot with garden froufrou, lot with BigAssTree. BigAssTree is as old as my folks' house -- one of the first houses in the neighborhood, from around 1935-40. The gran'folks built that house and, presumably, planted the tree since gran'pa was a landscaper. Ok, simple enough. Well, it's all on a hill. I'm on top, BigAssTree at bottom. And water flows downhill, this being a semirational reality in terms of simple physics. BigAssTree, which has survived a minimum of 8, count 'em, 8, lightning strikes, is now at risk. Before you think I'm an Arbor Day junkie, it's -why- that's the problem. BigAssTree is now... nearly floating. No, I'm not kidding. Apparently, a natural spring or underground river decided to pop up in the middle of froufroulot, and now there's a little stream running through the roots of BigAssTree, only to vanish into the roots of Random Pine Tree X. The water company ran tests. No chlorine, probably natural water. Ok. The sewer and water lines were checked, none of them are close enough to turn both lots into a swamp, nor create a creek in the middle of the yard. The Geomancer is outta town, though even before the green sprouted a brand new water hazard, he suggested problems may exist in that area. The cats are likely blaming it on pixies. I'm torn between terror of losing the house/property to a random act of nature and thinking this is outright delightful, since I've always wanted to put a pond -right- where this mess is springing from initially. Apparently, the ground agrees with me to the detriment of the neighboring households and the delight of viral mosquitos. So... your opinions: If it turns out to be a natural bit of chaos (meaning the fam and I just waded through natural germs, rather than strangely unscented raw sewage for a while), landscape to full pondy excavated effect, or wall the fucker back down and pray it doesn't pop up under a neighbor's yard, having been misdirected, and face lawsuits? You be the judge. I'm going to either laugh or cry now. Maybe both at once. -------------------------- Message 8329 from *Chat (#5391): Date: Sat Aug 12 09:49:40 2000 EDT From: Uncle_Rob (#5907) To: *Chat (#5391) Subject: Blessings Well, if ya was in New Mexico..
