I'm not sure this is where to send this, but it's here now. LambdaMOO supports a simple but powerful notation for specifying locks on objects, encryption on notes, and other applications. The idea is to describe a constraint that must be satisfied concerning what some object must be or contain in order to use some other object. -------------------------- Message 908 from *Bugs (#1294): Date: Wed Jun 4 07:36:18 2003 CDT From: FoxFire (#22153) To: *Bugs (#1294) Subject: Whips Okay, what's going on? For whatever reason, yesterday I found that I didn't have my whip, nor did it say I even owned a whip, so I just ignored it and bought another whip. I log on today and now again, the same problem. -------------------------- Message 909 from *Bugs (#1294): Date: Wed Jun 4 23:33:27 2003 CDT From: Fortitude (#24841) To: *Bugs (#1294) Subject: lost data I imagine things like disappearing whips and @mail posts from June 3rd can be attributed to the server panic that we experienced at ~6:00 MST. I could be wrong, but I don't think the MOO gets a chance to save when it shuts down like that, so anything after the last checkpoint basically never happened as far as the MOO is concerned. -------------------------- Message 910 from *Bugs (#1294): Date: Fri Jun 6 01:19:20 2003 CDT From: Jak_the_Yak (#20718) To: *Bugs (#1294) Subject: Locking Things That Aren't Yours I accidentally locked the replicator in the R/T Store. You can lock other peoples containers but not unlock them. If anyone tries to make something in the replicator now, they won't be able to get it out. Sorry to inconvenience you, but this may need to change it so you can only lock your own containers. -------------------------- Message 911 from *Bugs (#1294): Date: Fri Jun 6 09:43:13 2003 CDT From: Dante (#10660) To: *Bugs (#1294) Go OOC and @summon the object will work also, unless you just use the replicator in the OOC lounge. -------------------------- Message 912 from *Bugs (#1294): Date: Fri Jun 6 12:45:53 2003 CDT From: Nny (#25135) To: Anaiya (#11973) and *Bugs (#1294) Subject: Help By LambdaMOO they don't mean the game LambdaMOO. They mean the LambdaMOO server. When #11922's :pulse() verb is called, it reduces damage as a normal pulse would, however over time, his damage will not reduce at all. -------------------------- Message 914 from *Bugs (#1294): Date: Mon Jun 9 12:58:56 2003 CDT From: Bishamon (#23011) To: *Bugs (#1294) Subject: Addendum to last #210 seems to be sending pulses to AHABs properly. All of these I found I moved over to a fresher, more vacant heart. Most of these seemed to be a child of #3865, rideable beastie. Any more instances of this happening, let myself or another Tek know. -------------------------- Message 916 from *Bugs (#1294): Date: Fri Jun 13 11:48:18 2003 CDT From: Akeashar (#20348) To: *Bugs (#1294) Subject: #10018.wander_chance Apparently it had reset to 50 (someone said the place crashed yesterday?) so all the mechs were wandering. I reset it back to 0, so they -shouldn't- wander. Ake --------------------------
